How We Do This

The LightbusEagleEye Patent Search Manager software is an Adobe AIR application. The Adobe® AIR™ runtime enables applications built for Adobe AIR to run on your desktop computer without a web browser. AIR applications provide all the convenience of a desktop application while being developed using web programming languages.

The LightbusEagleEye Patent Search Manager application is written using HTML and JavaScript tools to provide a front-end search and data manager for the USPTO patent web site.

The application is downloaded and installed using the Adobe AIR runtime environment. Each patent retrieved/downloaded from the web site is stored in an AIR SQLite table on your locale PC.

When not connected to the Internet, you may still search and access all the local data you have stored. In addition, each patent retrieved from the USPTO web site may be associated with one or more user defined Cases.

Further, each patent retrieved may also be associated with one or more user defined Catagories independent of the Cases associated with the each patent.

This allows the user to build multiple groupings of patents according to their business or research needs. For example, a particular patent might be the subject of several legal cases and also be prior art for several other patents.
